San Jose’s Pro Stainless Incorporated

In 1980, two young entrepreneurs set out to make a difference in the fastener business. Armed with knowledge of the industry and first hand sales experience selling to such icons as Bill Hewlett and David Packard when deals were sealed with handshakes and signatures, Barry M. Grenier and his partner started Pro Stainless out of San Jose, California.

Originally specializing in stainless steel fasteners, Pro Stainless has met the challenges and needs of a growing customer base, serving dozens of industries, more than 500 customers, stocking over 20,000 line items, and servicing the Bay Area as well as shipping worldwide.

Our expansive product line is a direct result of listening to our customers and responding to their needs. Listening and responding are at the heart of the Pro Stainless’ philosophy of developing long-term relationships and partnerships with our customers.

Standing Strong When Others Fail

Pro Stainless has withstood the test of the economy, standing strong during recessions and the dot.com bust. Built mostly on referrals, our company continues to thrive and grow amid our competition that has buckled under challenging times and the loss of customers. We will continue to build and grow to provide for our customer base and our employees, but never outgrowing ourselves at that expense of our employees, our clients, or our company.


For all of Your Distribution Needs

Our product distribution now includes a full line of standard and special fasteners as well as many types of electronic hardware, tools, tubes, and kits. With Pro Stainless’ Just in Time (JIT) replenish program, product bins are always stocked, ensuring that your inventory never runs out and reducing or eliminating the need for planning, expediting, purchasing, and warehousing products. Pro Stainless’ JIT stocking programs now represent 60-70% of sales and are the largest area of our growth.
