Founded in 1980, Pro-Stainless has grown from a small two person operation with a handful of customers, to a corporation with over 1,000 customers. Starting as a distributor specializing in stainless steel fasteners, Pro-Stainless has evolved into a full-line fastener distributor, also carrying many types of electronic hardware and tools. The expansion of the product line is a direct result of listening to our customers and responding to their needs. Listening and responding is at the heart of the Pro-Stainless philosophy of developing long-term partnerships with our customers.

This partnering has led Pro-Stainless to become a leader in the field of JIT stocking programs. When entering into one of these programs, Pro-Stainless becomes, in essence, that customers materials manager. Pro-Stainless physically monitors the inventory on a regular basis, replenishing product based on predetermined guidelines. This concept is very cost effective for most types of customers. It eliminates or reduces the need for planning, expediting, purchasing, and warehousing the products on the program. JIT stocking programs now represent 70-80% of sales and the largest area of our growth.

These partnerships would not be possible without a well trained, dedicated staff. The inside sales, outside sales, and JIT departments of Pro-Stainless have over 125 years of collective experience. The warehouse staff is cross-trained to perform all functions within the warehouse, thereby increasing efficiency. The commitment of the staff is the greatest factor in the growth of Pro-Stainless.
